About The Position

As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol Shift in Penns Grove, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while fostering positive interactions through outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the education location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence throughout the education facility.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or rule violations.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report irregularities.
Communicate and collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal management regarding security-related concerns and/or incidents.
Complete required documentation and incident reports in a timely and accurate manner as required by Allied Universal and the education location.
