About The Position

As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol Driver in Pekin, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with site teams and visitors, document observations, and provide customer-focused support with professionalism and integrity. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical processing location.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity that may help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access control points, verify credentials where required, and direct visitors, contractors, and deliveries to the appropriate check-in and/or staging areas per site procedures.
  • Complete thorough reports for incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and maintain logs to support security-related operations and compliance needs.
