Job Description As a Security Officer- Campus Patrol Driver in Waterloo, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will monitor activity, conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related issues. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license. You will support employees and visitors with strong customer service, communicate clearly, and document observations and incidents, bringing agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma/GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate contacts and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of manufacturing and industrial areas, including building interiors, loading docks, yards, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas by observing traffic flow, checking identification and/or authorization as required, and reporting policy violations or suspicious behavior.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, including patrol observations, incident reports, and shift turnover notes, using site systems and required documentation processes.
