As a Security Officer Lobby Desk in Dover, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will be the welcoming first point of contact at a dynamic campus location, helping to monitor access, manage visitor interactions, and support security-related operations through clear communication and strong customer service. This role is ideal for someone who is professional, dependable, and ready to contribute to a caring, agile team that values integrity, innovation, and people first.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor the front desk area and main entry points, assist with visitor check-in procedures, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive presence and proper documentation.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, and communicate clearly with guests and site personnel regarding access procedures, visitor expectations, and/or general front desk support.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity, concerns, and/or policy violations to site leadership when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate logs, records, and other front desk documentation related to visitors, deliveries, badges, and/or security-related incidents.
