As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and service requests, and document observations using site technology. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, loading and service areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity.
Control access to the location by monitoring entry points, checking identification as required, and directing visitors, vendors, and contractors according to site-specific policies.
Monitor alarms, surveillance systems, and building management notifications as assigned, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
Document patrol activity, incidents, and notable observations in written and/or electronic reports per Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Provide assistance during emergency and non-emergency events by coordinating with site management, emergency responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Enforce site rules related to parking, after-hours access, deliveries, and restricted areas using a professional, customer-focused approach.
Perform lobby, perimeter, and exterior checks during varying weather and lighting conditions based on post requirements.
Communicate clearly with tenants, staff, and visitors, including providing directions and answering questions while maintaining a professional presence.
