About The Position

As a Security Officer - Building Access Control in Lake Forest, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a highly visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors, support access control and badge procedures, and document activity using site technology. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and approved security-related procedures for an aviation and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, hangar and office areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify maintenance and policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or credentials, manage visitor sign-in and badge processes, and report access issues according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities as directed by site leadership and local responders.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrol observations, incidents, and customer requests, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
