About The Position
As a Security Officer - Building Access Control in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a leading tech, media, and/or telecom location, where you will monitor assigned areas, complete routine foot patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls, document observations, and support employees and visitors with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements
- Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout office, production, and/or perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify irregular conditions.
- Monitor access points and lobby areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with visitor, vendor, and delivery check-in processes.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through the appropriate channels.
- Complete detailed reports and logs, including patrol activity, incident documentation, and notes related to package, mail, and/or document deliveries within the location.
