About The Position

As a Security Officer - Building Access Control in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a premier commercial real estate location, you will be the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service and communication to all visitors and tenants. Your role will focus on monitoring access, managing badge control, and helping to deter security-related incidents while upholding our company values of reliability, agility, and teamwork in a professional office environment.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Document and report any unusual activity or incidents to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
  • Assist with visitor management, including issuing badges and maintaining visitor logs as required by site policies.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related concerns at the front desk and help to deter unauthorized access or disruptive behavior.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
