As a Front Desk Security Officer in a commercial real estate office location, you will greet visitors, manage access control and badging, monitor security-related activity from the lobby, and support tenants with clear communication and customer service. You will help to deter incidents through a professional presence and detailed reporting. Requirements

  • Have 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control building entry by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing guests to appropriate destinations.
  • Receive, document, and communicate security-related concerns, alarms, and service requests, escalating to building management and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting emergency procedures such as evacuations, shelter in place, and medical response coordination.
  • Complete required reports and shift documentation, maintain key control and other controlled items, and support routine front desk operations to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions.
