About The Position

As a Security Officer - Building Access Control - Weekdays FT in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer in a commercial office setting, you will welcome tenants and guests, manage visitor access, monitor cameras and access control systems, and document security-related activity with clear communication. You will be a visible, professional presence who helps support a positive experience while responding to concerns and escalating issues as needed. Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security experience.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, employees, and visitors at a commercial office front desk by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
  • Control access by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing keys and/or access cards as directed, and directing guests to the appropriate destinations.
  • Monitor lobby activity, building systems, and/or cameras where applicable, and communicate concerns to building management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with emergency response activities and notifications as required.
  • Complete required documentation such as visitor logs, incident reports, and shift reports, and maintain professional communication by phone, radio, and in person.
