As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a higher education location, you will complete routine foot and bicycle patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and service-focused communication. You will document observations, report concerns, and support campus operations with professionalism. Requirements

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being able to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, patients, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an academic campus location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, reporting concerns to appropriate campus partners and/or Allied Universal supervision per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance with crowd management, direction, and/or incident documentation as needed.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation, and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
