Job Description As a Security Officer Bicycle Patrol Specialist in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observed conditions and/or activities according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance or access concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help support authorized access, provide directions, and/or assist with visitor questions and general site information.
Document daily activities, incidents, and/or policy-related concerns in required reports, and communicate relevant updates with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
