As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols inside and around the facility, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and compliance with AU driving policy requirements. Requirements

  • Must be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to appropriate hospital personnel and/or emergency services.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and interior areas, assist with wayfinding and visitor management as directed by site policy, and help maintain orderly flow in high-traffic areas.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, patrol observations, and policy violations per post orders, and communicate relevant information during shift turnover.
