About The Position

As a Security Officer - Banking Access Control in Carlstadt, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets.
Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location, following site-specific policies and procedures.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with access-related inquiries and directions.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents and identify potential risks.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site protocols.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client representatives to address access control issues and support emergency response activities.
