As a Screener with Allied Universal at a financial services location, you will help support security-related operations by welcoming visitors, screening entry points, confirming credentials, and directing people to the right areas. You will maintain a visible presence, complete routine patrols of nearby areas, document activity, and communicate concerns to site leadership. You will bring our agile, reliable, innovative approach, put people first, and deliver through teamwork with integrity.
Requirements
- Have 1+ years of security experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen individuals and items entering the location by verifying identification, checking credentials and/or access authorization, and conducting entry screening with approved equipment and processes.
- Monitor entry points and surrounding areas for unusual activity, enforce posted rules in a professional manner, and help to reduce unauthorized access.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, documenting observations, and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, complete required logs and reports, and communicate security-related information to site leadership.
