About The Position

As a Security Officer Badging Specialist in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential verification, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points at the location, verify identification and authorization, document visitor and/or vehicle activity, and report unusual or unauthorized access attempts through established security-related protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including access points, parking areas, gates, and other restricted areas, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and security-related concerns within a chemical and petrochemical location by observing site activity, enforcing post orders, and preparing accurate reports on incidents, inspections, and daily operations.
