Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, data center spaces, and other sensitive locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related events and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, control points, and perimeter, remaining aware of unusual activity and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related concerns.
