Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry and exit activity at a high-profile aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to site protocols and documenting key details as needed.
  • Monitor restricted and controlled areas, help to deter unauthorized access, and support compliance with badging, escort, and visitor management requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured entry points, and other security-related concerns in varying environments and conditions.
  • Communicate clearly with employees, visitors, supervisors, and/or emergency contacts while maintaining accurate logs, reports, and records related to access activity and site events.
