About The Position

As a Security Officer - Badge Verification in Graniteville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading automotive location supporting access control operations. You will monitor entrances, verify badges and visitor credentials, manage check-in procedures, and help maintain accurate access logs while providing strong customer service. You will also conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with team members and site leadership, reflecting our agile, reliable, and innovative culture built on integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining entry and/or exit logs.
  • Operate access control systems such as badge readers, gates, and visitor management tools, and report irregular activity according to post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, access disputes, and requests for assistance, and notify site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas such as building entrances, parking lots, production areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Complete detailed reports on access activity, incidents, and shift handoffs, and communicate key information to oncoming personnel and site management.
