As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry points, verify credentials, support visitor and driver check-ins, and monitor activity to spot and report security-related concerns. You will complete routine patrols and maintain a visible presence while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by checking identification and credentials, managing visitor and contractor sign-in, issuing temporary badges when authorized, and directing drivers, visitors, and associates to the proper areas.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound traffic such as employee vehicles, delivery trucks, and trailers by verifying appointments, seals, and documentation as required by site policy, and reporting irregularities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing security-related reports and escalating concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas such as entrances, parking lots, dock doors, and the perimeter, noting security-related conditions and communicating findings per post orders.
