About The Position

As a Security Officer - Badge Issuance in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and maintain visitor and delivery logs. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and report security-related concerns while delivering customer-focused service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer Service Experience - preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification and authorization for employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors; issue visitor credentials and maintain entry and exit logs.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, coordinate with site contacts for deliveries and pick-ups, and help to deter unauthorized access by following established screening protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document events, and communicate with site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of building areas, docks, and perimeter, watching for irregular activity and reporting maintenance and/or policy concerns per post orders.
