About The Position

As a Security Officer Badge Desk Coordinator in Wayne, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer in an educational location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, helping manage access, monitor activity at the entry, and support daily security-related operations. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have access control or badge experience preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, visitor check-in activities, and/or emergency response support at a busy educational location.
  • Monitor the front desk area, greet students, staff, faculty, and visitors, and help with access control practices in accordance with location guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to campus contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Maintain detailed logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations through appropriate channels.
