Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a dynamic retail location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will also provide outstanding customer service, utilizing technology to support daily operations, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

Requirements

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors, employees, and/or customers while maintaining a professional presence at the location.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in accordance with Allied Universal standards.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or suspicious activity as required by site procedures.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, following established protocols and instructions from Allied Universal management or site leadership.
