As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, greet drivers and employees, and guide visitors through check-in procedures. You will monitor activity, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and report security-related concerns with clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Staff access control points to verify identification, check credentials, issue visitor badges when authorized, and help control entry and exit of employees, drivers, and vendors.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound traffic flow by coordinating with dispatch, checking delivery and pickup documentation as directed, and reporting discrepancies through the appropriate channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts, documenting events, and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, dock areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location and shift.
