As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading automotive manufacturing and/or delivery location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site personnel, and support a positive customer experience while using basic computer and/or tablet tools. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to client employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout automotive manufacturing and/or distribution areas, parking lots, and the perimeter, documenting observations per site procedures.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring entrances, gates, and designated access points, verifying identification and/or authorization as required by site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, alarms, disturbances, and traffic concerns, and notify appropriate personnel.
  • Complete detailed written reports and daily activity logs, including incident reports, patrol findings, and maintenance or hazard observations, following Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.
  • Monitor cameras, alarm panels, and other security-related systems as assigned, and escalate unusual activity per post orders.
  • Support site rules for vehicle and pedestrian flow by observing loading dock and parking areas, assisting with directions, and reporting violations per procedure.
  • Interact professionally with local law enforcement, fire, and emergency services when requested, and assist with scene control and information sharing per policy.
  • Perform access control checks for deliveries and/or contractors, including verifying credentials, reviewing appointment information, and directing to designated areas per site instructions.
  • Maintain a professional presence, follow post orders, and comply with Allied Universal training, uniform, and communication requirements.
