About The Position

As a Security Officer - Auto Entry Specialist in Gastonia, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, remaining visible, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Maintain detailed logs of access control activities and report any irregularities or incidents to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Assist visitors and employees by providing directions and information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
Collaborate with Allied Universal management and local staff to address security-related needs specific to the automotive environment.
