Job Description As a Security Officer - Auto Auction in Flat Rock, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. This is a driving post, offering direct engagement with people and opportunities to provide excellent customer service. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Document and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents according to established protocols.
Monitor access points and authorized areas to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain order within the location.
Interact with employees, visitors, and vendors in a professional manner while addressing inquiries and assisting as needed.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site management to support security-related objectives specific to a tech, media, and telecom environment.
