Job Description As a Security Officer - Art Museum in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a renowned cultural institution, where you will monitor and patrol galleries, entrances, and public spaces to help maintain a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, assist guests with directions and questions, and communicate clearly with staff while documenting observations. Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have CPR certification preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of galleries, public areas, entrances, offices, and exterior perimeter areas to help to deter prohibited activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and exhibit areas, assist with crowd flow during peak attendance and/or special events, and provide clear directions and information to guests.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, medical calls, and/or alarms, and coordinating notifications per post orders.
• Complete detailed activity and incident reports, maintain accurate logs, and communicate observations and/or concerns promptly to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
