Job Description As a Security Officer - Art Museum Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a vibrant cultural institution, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining a visible and approachable presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing outstanding customer service, and supporting a positive experience for all visitors. Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of visitors and staff at the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and monitor for any security-related concerns.
- Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with access control, visitor management, and adherence to site policies within the cultural institution environment.
- Support Allied Universal and client staff during events, performances, and/or public gatherings by providing a visible security-related presence.
