Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Solar Farm Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government cultural location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms and calls for assistance, and support staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations and escalate concerns promptly, working as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government-operated cultural location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, disputes, and/or suspicious activity according to post orders.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, offices, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and interior spaces, verify credentials when required, and document visitor issues, maintenance concerns, and/or policy exceptions using required reporting methods.
- Complete detailed shift activity reports, incident documentation, and handoff communications, and coordinate with site management and/or public agencies as directed.
