As an Armed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service. You will document activity and communicate clearly with site teams while delivering customer service with integrity. This post requires an armed guard card or license and a valid driver’s license, supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first teamwork.

Requirements

  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • 1 year of Security, Law Enforcement or Military Experience
  • Driver's License Required with Good Driving History
  • Must be willing to become armed within 6 months of hire
  • Computer Literacy due to Digital Training and Electronic Reports
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter points; document unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns per post orders.
  • Control access for employees, contractors, and visitors by verifying credentials, managing entry and exit points, and maintaining accurate logs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders, and completing detailed reports.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems; maintain assigned equipment including duty weapon per Allied Universal and site policies, and follow escalation procedures when needed.
