About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol armed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential risks.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or unusual occurrences, to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and permitting entry as authorized.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, including providing directions and assistance to staff, visitors, and/or emergency personnel.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
