About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol armed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential risks.
Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or unusual occurrences, to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and permitting entry as authorized.
Support emergency response activities as needed, including providing directions and assistance to staff, visitors, and/or emergency personnel.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
