Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will bring reliability, integrity, and teamwork to every shift while delivering responsive armed patrol services in a dynamic public setting.

Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A minimum of 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and screening areas, verify credentials and/or permitted entry, and assist with screening-related procedures for visitors, employees, and contractors.
  • Support post orders by maintaining a visible presence, following weapon handling protocols, and communicating clearly with supervisors, site personnel, and/or first responders during routine operations and emergency situations.
