Requirements

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Hold an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location, including both the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to site protocols.
Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors, maintaining a visible security-related presence.
Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and granting entry as directed by site policies.
Complete detailed and accurate reports of incidents, patrols, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client guidelines.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies, alarms, and/or requests for assistance throughout the shift.
