About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. This position requires both carrying a concealed weapon and driving as part of your daily responsibilities. You will be a visible presence, supporting a secure environment and upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
A minimum of one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor entrances, exits, and designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations during assigned shifts.
Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed according to site protocols.
Adhere to all site-specific policies, procedures, and regulations relevant to a government environment.
