Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Must have 2 years of Armed related experience.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess an Active Armed VA DCJS
  • Will have to pass the contracts required SO4 Shoot at the range.
  • Will have to take the contracts required polygraph.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton experience are preferred, but will train if needed.
  • CPR and first aid certification are preferred but will train if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to hospital staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control issues, disturbances, and medical facility codes as directed by site procedures.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and communications systems; document and report incidents, suspicious activity, and policy violations per post orders.
  • Control access at doors, gates, and sensitive areas by checking identification, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and coordinating with hospital staff and/or local responders as needed.
