About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
Have 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, government location policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities while maintaining an armed post as assigned.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and/or potential policy violations.
Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor and vehicle activity, and reporting unauthorized or suspicious behavior in accordance with post orders.
Support assigned operations by maintaining a visible presence, following armed post instructions, and completing required reports, logs, and other security-related documentation.
