Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a healthcare location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas as an armed patrol officer, helping to reduce security-related incidents through a visible presence, routine rounds, and clear communication with staff and visitors. You will respond to concerns with professionalism, document key activity, and deliver customer service with integrity. This role requires a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit and Act 235 Qualification. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, donors, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Respond to alarms, disturbances, and critical incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and coordinating with medical staff and/or local responders as needed. Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, and help to control traffic flow during peak donation hours, deliveries, and shift changes. Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate notable activity to site leadership and Allied Universal management. Minimum Requirements: Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit. Possess an Act 235 Qualification Pennsylvania only. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
