Requirements

Must be 21 years or older
Minimum 5 years of Armed Security, or 3 years Law Enforcement, Corrections or Military experience
Active Level III Armed Security License
Ability to stay alert and focused during shifts
Strong communication and observation skills
Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Hold a Level III armed certification for Texas.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Hold a current CPR certification; this is preferred.
Hold a current handcuffing certification; this is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor for suspicious behavior or activities and report findings according to established protocols.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to assist with customer inquiries and help to deter theft or other unwanted actions.
Interact professionally with employees, guests, and/or contractors while maintaining a courteous and approachable demeanor.
Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site requirements.
Follow all instructions and training related to carrying and handling firearms as required by the armed post profile.
