Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a fast-paced healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service, and document activity with attention to detail. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies within a healthcare location, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring doors and restricted areas, verifying authorization when required, and directing patients, visitors, and vendors to appropriate destinations.
  • Complete security-related reports and shift logs, document incidents and unusual activity, and communicate observations to supervisors and site leadership.
