As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic technology and media location. Requirements

• Possess an active Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate conflict resolution skills.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or respond to potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activity.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to provide information and assistance as needed.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and client requirements.
• Carry and operate authorized equipment as required for armed posts, following all applicable laws and company procedures.
• Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and/or law enforcement when responding to incidents or emergencies.
