As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a major utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible throughout the premises to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess a TSA issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
Hold a valid armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including both the business premises and surrounding perimeter.
Monitor for any suspicious activity or potential threats, and report findings according to company and client procedures.
Assist in controlling access to restricted areas and help to deter unauthorized entry or activities.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and any unusual occurrences observed during the shift.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when appropriate for incident response.
Provide visible presence to help to deter potential threats or unwanted activity within the utilities environment.
