As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas within the utility location, verifying credentials and reporting irregularities.
Document and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or incidents according to company and client protocols.
Assist with emergency situations, such as fire, medical, or other critical incidents, following established procedures.
Work collaboratively with site personnel and law enforcement as required to address security-related concerns.
Remain alert to potential threats or hazards specific to utility operations and communicate observations to the appropriate personnel.
