As a Security Officer - Armed Utilities Patrol Lead in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Armed guard card or license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Maintain detailed records of activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.
Monitor access points and verify the credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
Operate and maintain awareness of surveillance and alarm systems, reporting any irregularities to site management and/or Allied Universal as required.
Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
Assist with emergency evacuations and/or drills as directed by site management.
Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and law enforcement as needed.
