About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Tech/Media Patrol in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the technology and media facility, including the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for and report any suspicious behavior or potential threats within the location.
Support access control by verifying credentials and/or identifying individuals entering restricted areas.
Assist with emergency response activities, following established protocols and communicating with Allied Universal management as required.
Document all incidents, observations, and/or activities in accordance with company and client policies.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related issues at the location.
