About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Tech Campus in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech and media location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Maintain an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor for unusual activity and report observations according to site protocols.
Assist with access control and verify identification as required by site-specific procedures.
Support Allied Universal and client personnel during emergency situations and/or drills.
Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, patrol activities, and daily operations as required.
