Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed RPO Certified in Camden, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Requirements

• Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
• Possess a Corrections Officer license.
• Possess a New Jersey RPO Certificate.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting actions taken per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior and exterior areas, as permitted by site requirements.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
• Complete required reports and logs, communicate with site personnel, and follow Allied Universal guidelines for escalation and follow-up.
