Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Site - Full Time in Corsicana, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves responding to incidents, supporting store operations, and delivering outstanding customer service. This armed position offers the opportunity to contribute to a secure environment while working with a team that values integrity, innovation, and putting people first.

Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a Level III armed certification for Texas roles only.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or theft.
Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential incidents and provide assistance as needed.
Carry a firearm in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies, maintaining proper licensing and training at all times.
Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuations and medical incidents, as directed by site procedures.
