Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activities.
Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.
Interact professionally with visitors, customers, and employees, providing assistance and direction as needed.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
Carry and maintain control of assigned firearm at all times in accordance with company and site-specific protocols.
