As a Security Officer - - Armed - Retail Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will drive and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence, and help to reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and calls for service, document activity, support store teams and customers with clear communication, and work as part of an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and always acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Certification Texas Only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid - preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of sales floors, stock areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas to help to deter theft, property damage, and unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, alarms, and suspicious activity, and request law enforcement and/or medical assistance as needed.
  • Monitor cameras, entrances, and high-traffic areas; observe for unusual behavior; and communicate concerns to store management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation; preserve information and evidence when appropriate; and participate in post orders briefings and required training.
